Nothing specific to write in the review … TNS’s voice was good and was aiding him in most of whatever he wanted to do. So that was happy news for die-hard TNS fans like me. Bhairavi kriti was very well sung.

yeah I agree with you. Everytime I attend a TNS concert , I realise how primitive many other singers are. He has an effortless way of rendering krithis. Not sure if you had a chance to attend last years Ramanavami concert at Sheshadripuram. He sang Huseni for 20 mins ( Rama Ninne Nammi)..

I rate him the best of the contemporary artists… very personal opinion..

Yup … for me TNS is like GOD …. unsurpassable when he has his voice in good shape; dwarfs out other great artists and is way ahead of them.

[…] This November witnessed/will witness atleast two big festivals in addition to the ad hoc concerts happening at various places. One was the Bharat Sangeet Utsav that was in progress for the last 9 days. The concerts were held in the spacious Narada Gana Sabha. Carnatica is an organization promoted by singers S.Soumya and the young and energetic K.N.Shashikiran. It is exploring different ways of reaching out to the listeners and the students of Carnatic music – in particular how to use digital music and the internet to teach this form of art. I attended Shri T.N.Seshagopalan’s (supported by his son TNS Krishna) concert and a session in appreciation of todi raga. Missed out on some womderful concerts of TM Krishna, Sikkil Gurucharan and Sanjay Subramanian. […]

TNS – he is fantastic !! I have never been to his concert but listened to quite a few of his CD’. His raga renditioning is by far among the best.

Have a listen to shakarabharam – 1993 live in Bombay. It is one of the best shankarabharanam I have heard . CD quality is fairly good.
